Details

BirthPeter Diffley was born circa 1818 at Clooncarreen, Mohill Civil Parish, Co Leitrim, Ireland. When Peter died in January 1884, his stated age was 65, which would suggest a birth year of about 1818.
MarriagePeter Diffley married Mary Murray, daughter of Bryan Murray, before 1846 at Ireland. The date of before 1846 is entered on the basis of a likely child of the couple, Mary, being baptised in 1846.
Note that Bornacoola Marriages from 1837 to 1850 are not online and that Gortletteragh Marriages between 1835 and 1848 do not exist.
DeathPeter Diffley died on 25 Jan 1884 at Clooncarreen, Mohill Civil Parish, Co Leitrim, Ireland . The cause of death was Chronic Bronchitis, 12 months. The informant was his nephew William Diffley, who was present at the death. Assuming this informant was the son of Thomas Diffley of that name, who was buried in Bornacoola in August 1890, then we have a link that shows Peter and that Thomas were brothers.
