According to Michael Whelan, as shown on website http://www.aughavascloone.ie/content.aspx?par=8&ContentId=30 the proper name for Dunavinally is Dun-Abhann-Shailigh but the townland is known locally as Sallyfield, thought to be derived from Saileach - the willow
