Death Details Derived from Burial Records

A small number of deaths recorded here are derived from church burial records. Where this has been done the date of burial has been taken as the date of death, on the basis that it is more precise than simply listing the death as "Before x Date". A note should appear on any such death detail given.

More deaths could be added based on this but are not. The primary reason is that burial records are generally too imprecise to wholly identify the person being buried. Where a name is rare and perhaps a place or other detail is added then the death record has been included, using the date of burial, as stated above.
